Class will begin with a rehearsal viewing at 1:30 p.m. followed by the lecture from 2-3 p.m.
Description:
Enhance your ballet-going experience through Nashville Ballet's FREE Inside the Ballet initiatives! Gain insider access to industry experts and the artists responsible for bringing Romeo and Juliet to the stage in September.This four-part lecture series takes a more in-depth look at the choreography, music, and production elements behind Artistic Director Paul Vasterling's highly-acclaimed adaptation of the Bard's tragic romance. Each session includes an observation period in which attendees get the unique opportunity to view Company rehearsals. (The timeframe for the final lecture in the series is earlier to allow attendees to view Company class!) This series is entirely free and open to all; attendees will also receive a 15% discount on Romeo and Juliet performance tickets.
Participants will:
Learn the significance and history of each of the ballets featured on the program
Get a sneak peek into the rehearsal process
Engage with artistic staff members and guests who have made this production possible

This lecture series will take place before Romeo and Juliet is performed at TPAC’s Jackson Hall September 20-22, 2019.
