About TEACHING ARTIST AND ARTS INTEGRATION Programs
Integrated Arts experiences bring kinesthetic learning to any lesson plan for a deeper dive into a unit of study. Teaching artist will meet and plan with teachers around their current lesson of choice or select from our own integrated programs. Teaching Artist will visit the classroom (in person or virtual) to facilitate the experience.
TEACHING ARTIST VISITS
Bring Nashville Ballet teaching artists to your school, classroom or educational program to teach participants and students about artistic expression and self-confidence. All programs meet state standards for dance instruction and include accompanying instructional material.
Dance! (K–4th grade)
Based on the book "Dance!" by Bill T. Jones and Susan Kuklin, this program introduces students to the joy and boundless possibilities of movement. Dancers teach students how to create shapes and carve out space with their bodies.
Resiliency Now (3rd - 5th Grade Students)
Incorporating the 5 Social Emotional Learning competencies (self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, responsible decision-making, and relationship skills) with mindfulness and movement, Resiliency will equip participants with techniques to reflect, process and approach change creatively. This class can be presented as a single 1-hour session or as a series of 4-hour-long sessions.
OUTCOMES
Gain mindfulness techniques for everyday mental well being
Cultivate imagination and creativity to better respond to change
Connection with self, family, community and nature
