In this West African folk tale, a hunter named Ama meets a magical singing tortoise in the forest. He promises not to tell anyone about the tortoise’s talent, but breaks his word and must face the consequences. Narration, whimsical costumes and traditional African masks make The Singing Tortoise a great introduction to dance.
