Nashville Ballet Health and Safety Protocols

As we continue our 2022-2023 Season, your health and safety remain our number one priority. We have been so grateful for our audience’s support of our organization and are excited to continue creating, performing, teaching, and promoting dance as an essential and inspiring element of our community.

In preparing for our performances, we will continue to work closely with our team of trusted medical advisors and our Board of Directors to ensure the safest possible environment for our dancers, students, staff, and patrons. We remain vigilant and reserve the right to update, amend, and change these policies as necessary based on changes in CDC guidelines, regulations from the Metro Nashville Public Health Department, the Tennessee Department of Health, American Academy of Pediatrics, or any other federal, state, or local mandates related to COVID-19.

Please read the following information carefully.

What’s happening now?

  • Updated policies reflect a Low Risk Classification for Davidson County.

  • Effective March 28, 2022, masks are now optional at the Martin Center for Ballet for all individuals *

    • Individuals recovering from a positive case, exposed to a positive close contact individual, or experiencing symptoms will still be required to wear a mask.

  • It is important to remember that Nashville Ballet remains a mask-friendly environment. We strongly encourage each family to exercise any and all health and safety precautions they deem necessary and are committed to maintaining a space where all students feel safe and welcome.

  • As part of our efforts to work together on health and safety initiatives, families and faculty are asked to report any COVID-19 related exposure or positive test results to School of Nashville Ballet to enhance contact tracing efforts.

  • Our janitorial staff is following a CDC-compliant building disinfection program. All areas are deep cleaned nightly and high-touch surfaces are sanitized and disinfected frequently throughout the day.

  • We have invested in MERV13 air filters to upgrade our existing HVAC system.

  • Contactless water bottle fill stations are available for dancers, students, and staff to use personal reusable water bottles. Water fountains are not available for use.
