Artists interested in our company are encouraged to have at least one year of professional experience working with a company or second company. If you are a student graduating this year or have not had a chance to work professionally, you are encouraged to attend one of our summer intensive auditions, we have auditions taking place across the country or you can submit your video here for consideration for our second company program.

Summer intensive auditions (AGE 12+)
Nashville Ballet’s Artistic Director Nick Mullikin leads an outstanding faculty whose expert knowledge gives you the tools to advance your technique and reach your goals at Nashville Ballet Summer Intensive.
Strengthen your technique and explore your full potential in a supportive environment and a fun, safe city.
Students aged 12+ are invited to audition. Admission to School of Nashville Ballet Summer Intensive is by in-person auditions or video audition only.

NB2/ Trainee AUDITIONS
Dancers who are selected for NB2 show the promise of pursuing a career in dance. This program gives them the opportunity to improve the skills needed to achieve their goal of a performance career.
Admission to the NB2/ Trainee is by audition only. Auditions are available through our Audition Tour or by video. Students may be accepted directly into the second company at the audition or after attendance at our Summer Intensive.

pre-PROFESSIONAL DIVISION AUDITIONS (14+)
At School of Nashville Ballet, we are committed to fostering the next generation of ballet professionals by providing a comprehensive, versatile, and personalized training environment. Our newly structured Pre-Professional Division is designed to accommodate the unique needs of dedicated dancers seeking a high-caliber ballet education alongside their academic pursuits.
We encourage all prospective students to audition in person. To schedule your audition, please e-mail school@nashvilleballet.com to request a personal placement appointment. If you are unable to attend an in-person audition, you are welcome to apply via video audition and online application. A $25 fee applies.
PROFESSIONAL DIVISION AUDITIONS (AGES 16+)
The Professional Division (PD) is a comprehensive program for pre-professional dancers, designed to further develop technique, strength, and artistry in a rigorous environment. Dancers selected for this program are chosen for their talent and potential to pursue a career in professional dance. Our goal is to help these dancers grow as artists and to assist them in the transition to professional dance careers with Nashville Ballet, NB2 (Nashville Ballet’s official second company), or other professional dance companies.

JUNIOR intensive (AGE 9-13)
Immerse your young dancer in a focused environment with Nashville Ballet’s Faculty at our Junior Intensive, providing them with a full-day intensive training to get a leg up in their future dance studies, technique, and artistry by participating in our Junior Intensive program this summer! No audition necessary.
