Friends of Nashville Ballet provides essential support by creating meaningful volunteer opportunities, strategic fundraising and promotion of Nashville Ballet’s initiatives.
Formed in 1992, Friends of Nashville Ballet is the volunteer corps of Nashville Ballet. This group of dedicated supporters provides assistance with various efforts supporting the administrative, artistic and financial needs of the company.
Every year the Friends organization supports the Nashville Ballet Annual Fund with a significant financial contribution, made possible through annual membership fees of $50 per person ($75 for couples) and other fundraising events including the Friends Season Kick-Off Party, Whiskey & Wine, the annual Children's Spring Tea and other special programs.
Membership dues also ensure that Friends is able to provide engaging experiences and networking opportunities for our supportive volunteers. Membership is open to everyone, and we accept memberships throughout the year. Please see below for event details and ways to get involved with Friends of Nashville Ballet. Project coordinators will get in touch with you to assist with projects related to your listed interests.

Dancer Dinners & Hospitality
Enjoy getting to know Nashville Ballet's artists by helping with company meals and guest hospitality. Our Friends provide a delicious meal for the dancers before dress rehearsal of each Nashville Ballet series (4 company meals per season) and also provide hospitality for visiting choreographers, designers and guest artists. You'll be loved and adored! For our second company dancers, we also welcome those interested in serving as “in-town parents” to help these young adults navigate Nashville.
The Shop At Nashville Ballet
Nashville Ballet's shop is open during all performances at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center and features unique gifts and apparel sure to delight any age group. Help work the booth and promote Nashville Ballet's brand new collection of logo items and ballet treats.
Elected officials want to be seen and heard throughout our community. Help them do this by inviting them to Nashville Ballet outreach programs in your area. It's a small task that makes a big difference!
Ongoing Administrative Needs
Mailings, editing, writing, designing, planning, supervising… we could always use an extra hand or two in the administrative offices. Ballet staff would love to have some "on call" volunteers who can help with marketing, development, school and other administrative needs.
