At Nashville Ballet since 2004
Mollie Sansone, originally from North Carolina, began her ballet training with Melissa Hale-Coyle, Claudia Folts, Lisa Leone, and Rebecca and Daniel Wiley. She also studied at Maniya Barredo’s Metropolitan Ballet Theater, the Joffrey Midwest Workshop, the Nutmeg Ballet Conservatory, and Atlanta Ballet.
After joining Nashville Ballet's second company, NB2, in 2004, Mollie performed with the main company in several series. Since joining the main company in 2006, she has performed works by renowned choreographers such as Sarah Slipper, Brian Enos, Salvatore Aiello, Paul Vasterling, Ann Marie DeAngelo, Gina Patterson and James Canfield.
Some of Mollie’s notable roles include Juliet in Vasterling’s Romeo & Juliet, Lady Macbeth in Vasterling’s Macbeth, The Chosen One in Aiello’s Right of Spring, Aiello’s Satto, Bluebird’s Princess Florine in The Sleeping Beauty, the Sugar Plum Fairy and the Snow Queen in Vasterling’s Nashville’s Nutcracker, and the turning girl in George Balanchine’s Who Cares?
Mollie has danced in residency with MOTION Dance Theater, where she has performed works choreographed by Nick Kepley, Gabrielle Lamb, and Travis Guerin. Mollie was also awarded the 2012-2013 Individual Artist Fellowship from the Tennessee Arts Commission.
