At Nashville Ballet since 2008
Alexandra Meister joined Nashville Ballet's second company, NB2, in 2008 and quickly advanced to the main company in 2010.
Trained by Ana Lobe of the Cleveland San Jose Ballet, Alexandra also attended summer programs at the Nutmeg Conservatory, Houston Ballet and Nashville Ballet. While at Houston Ballet, she was invited to participate in their year round program.
Since joining Nashville Ballet, Alexandra has been featured as Dark Angel in George Balanchine’s Serenade, the Lilac Fairy in The Sleeping Beauty, as well as roles in Swan Lake, Sarah Slipper's Postcard for the Boys, and Vasterlings's Carmina Burana, Nashville's Nutcracker and Macbeth. She has also danced Balanchine's Four Temperaments and contemporary works by Salvatore Aiello, Brian Enos, James Gregg and Gina Patterson.
A participant in international competitions, Alexandra represented Nashville Ballet at the 2010 International Ballet Competition in Jackson, Mississippi and the 2011 Boston International Ballet Competition. Coached by School of Nashville Ballet Dean Nicole Koenig, Alex has performed classical variations and contemporary works by Banning Bouldin, Kathleen Spinazzola, and Paul Vasterling.
