Mollie Sansone, originally from North Carolina, began her ballet training with Melissa Hale-Coyle, Claudia Folts, Lisa Leone and Rebecca and Daniel Wiley. She also studied at Maniya Barredo’s Metropolitan Ballet Theater, the Joffrey Midwest Workshop, the Nutmeg Ballet Conservatory and Atlanta Ballet.
Ms. Sansone joined Nashville Ballet 2 in 2004, and then joined the main company in 2006. Since then, she has performed works by renowned choreographers such as George Balanchine, Sarah Slipper, Robert Philander-Valentine, Salvatore Aiello, Paul Vasterling, Ann Marie DeAngelo and James Canfield.
Ms. Sansone performed with Kansas City’s Quixotic Fusion in their 2010 summer show Paix Reveuse. She has also been a guest artist with the Piedmont Dance Theater in Kannapolis, N.C.
She has been teaching ballet for many years for various local dance studios. She has also taught jazz and modern. In class, Ms. Sansone strives to explain how to correctly activate the body’s muscles by using different theories, images and physics, and she hopes her students learn and fun in her classes.
