At Nashville Ballet since 2006
Mark Allyn Nimmo came to Nashville Ballet as a member of NB2 in 2006, and was promoted to the position of apprentice in 2007, then company member in 2009.
He has performed featured roles in Paul Vasterling’s Carmina Burana and Time/Return/Memory, Nashville’s Nutcracker, George Balanchine's Serenade and Jiří Kylián's Petite Mort as well as Swan Lake and Sarah Slipper’s Postcards from the Boys.
Mark developed his talents while training at the Governor’s School for the Arts in Norfolk, Va., under the instruction of Kathy Brenner and Todd Rosenlieb. Even as a student, he had opportunities to perform in Eric Hawkins' Greek Dreams and Rosenlieb's What Lies Behind Love.
Mark spent his summers training with notable instructors at Virginia School for the Arts, American Ballet Theatre, BalletMet and International Ballet Masterclasses in Prague.
Mark, who is also a certified personal trainer, spends his time outside of the studio helping others achieve their fitness goals as a fitness instructor at Krank Nashville.
