At Nashville Ballet since 2011
A Boston girl through and through, Keenan spent the first ten years of her dance training at Boston Ballet School where she performed with the Boston Ballet in La Fille Mal Gardee, Stars and Stripes and The Nutcracker.
She danced with Ballet Austin II before joining the company at Dayton Ballet and performing soloist and principal roles from choreographers such as Christopher Fleming, Alan Hineline, Steven Mills, Jeffrey Hughes and Gregory Robinson.
Keenan joined Nashville Ballet as a member of the company in 2011 and has enjoyed dancing featured roles in many ballets, including Cinderella, Nashville’s Nutcracker, The Sleeping Beauty, Cryin’ Out, The Whistling, Under The Lights, Petite Mort, and Serenade.
Keenan also attended National Choreographer’s Initiative during the summer of 2014 and originated roles in two new works by Garrett Smith and Philip Neal.
An avid photographer, she merged her two loves—dance and photography—to win a Dance Magazine photography contest in 2007. Keenan was also selected as one of Nashville Lifestyle’s "25 Most Beautiful People" in 2013.
When she is not dancing, Keenan teaches yoga at Epic Yoga as a certified Baptiste yoga instructor, counsels others as a certified life coach and teaches Yoga Body Boot Camp classes. Keenan is also an Ambassador for Africa Yoga Project, a co-founder of the Music City Yoga Festival, and a co-founder of Empowered Kids Yoga.
