Krissy Dodge, Company Dancer

Originally from eastern Kentucky where she trained under teacher and mentor Cari Rucker, Krissy Dodge has embraced Nashville as her home.

Krissy joined Nashville Ballet as a member of NB2 in 2003, then became an apprentice and full company member soon after that.

Before joining Nashville Ballet, Krissy studied dance with the Ashland Youth Ballet and continued her training at the Conservatory of Performing Arts at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Penn., where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in dance performance.

During her time in the company, Krissy has danced several principal roles including Helena in Paul Vasterling's A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Flora in Vasterling's Carmina Burana and Yellow Pas in James Canfield's Jungle. She has also been featured in Paul Vasterling’s works Salsa Dreams, Lizzie and Suite Country during its 2005 South American tour. She has also performed principal roles in Michelle Sigillo's Beethoven's Sixth Symphony and Ravel's Rhapsodie Espanole with the Rome Festival Orchestra in Italy.

Although story ballets are her favorite form of artistic expression, she also loves choreography and writing when she is not antiquing with her husband.
